- bearing trees - The State Government may, by notification, from time to time, prohibit the cutting of fruit-bearing trees specified in the notification which are standing on any land (other than land which is the property of Government or over which the Government have proprietary rights) and the cutting of which is likely to lead to fall in agricultural or industrial production.
