Section 1186(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)On the 27th day of each month, officers-in-charge of police-stations shall send by the quickest route to the Superintendent's office an acquittance roll in B. P. Form No. 230 filling in only the first three columns, showing number, name and rank of each officer. The names shall be arranged according to ranks in order to facilitate check with the gradation list and other registers maintained in the Reserve office. Should any new name appear, an explanation, shall be given in the column of remarks such as "Received by transfer from __________."
