(r)"State Government" means the State Government of Assam in the concerned Education Department, i.e., Elementary Education Department in case of Primary and Upper-Primary schools; Secondary Education Department in case of Secondary, Higher Secondary schools and [Senior Secondary School] [Substituted 'Junior College' by Assam Act No. 19 of 2018, dated 9.5.2018.]; Higher Education Department in case of Degree Colleges;
