Section 1(2) in The Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourer Fair Wages Act, 1969
(2)(a)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 5th day of August 1969 in the taluks in the [Thanjavur district] [Now, these taluks are in Thiruvarur and Nagapattianam districts.] specified in Schedule I.(b)The Government may, by notification, direct that the provisions of this Act shall come into force in any other area on such date as may be specified in such notification and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
