Section 2(xiii) in The Disaster Management (Amendment) Act, 2025
(xiii)after clause (p), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:––‘(pa) “response” means the action taken directly before, during or after a disaster in order to save lives, reduce injury and health impact, ensure public safety and meet the basic subsistence needs of the people affected;’;
