- Whoever, by any fraud or unlawful device or malpractice in playing at or with cards or dice or any other game or in taking part in the wagers or in betting on the sides or hands of the players, or in wagering on the event of any game, sport, pastime or physical exercise, wins from any other person either for himself or for any other person or persons, any sum of money or valuable thing, shall be deemed guilty of cheating within the meaning of [section 415 of the Indian Penal Code] [Substituted by the A.P.A.O. 1957.], and be liable to punishment accordingly.
