Section 2(d) in The Karnataka Agricultural Credit Pass Book Act, 1984
(d)"Co-operative Society" means a Co-opeative society registered or deemed to be registered under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the object of which is to provide financial assistance to its members, and includes a Co-operative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank;
