Section 138 in Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964

138. Settlement of village boundaries by agreement.

- When in any two or more adjoining villages one or more Panchayats are established under the [Karnataka] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order, 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.] Village Panchayats and Local Boards Act, 1959, and such Panchayat or Panchayats agree to any given line of boundary as the boundary common to their respective villages, the officer determining the boundary shall record such agreement and get it duly signed by the Chairman, Vice-Chairman or the members of the Panchayats concerned, as the case may be. The officer determining the boundary shall then mark off the boundary in the manner agreed upon. Any village boundary so marked off shall be deemed to be finally settled.
