Section 2(g) in The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) Act, 1983
(g)"extension education" means the educational activities concerned with the training of the farmers and homemakers and other groups serving agriculture, in improved agricultural practices and the various phases of scientific technology related to agriculture and agricultural production and marketing. It includes the work which may be done through meetings, demonstrations and other methods for teaching improved agricultural practices and the training of workers required for the conduct of these educational activities;
