Section 10(1) in Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2019
(1)Every Member to be appointed by the licensee under Clause (i) of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 7, shall be appointed, and shall ordinarily hold office for a period of 3 years which may be extended further for a 3 years term with the prior approval of the Commission subject to the ceiling limit of attaining the age of 65 years.Provided that no Member, other than the Independent Member of the Forum, shall hold office as such, after he ceases to be the officer of the licensee;Provided that no Independent Member of the Forum shall hold office as such, after he attains the age of sixty five years.
