(1)The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely.-(i)the Director of the University, ex-officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;(ii)one eminent academician and one eminent professional to be nominated by the Board;(iii)one external eminent academician and one eminent professional to be nominated by the Director;(iv)two deans of the University by rotation to be nominated by the Director;(v)one Professor from each discipline of the University by rotation to be nominated by the Director, and(vi)the Registrar who shall be the non-member Secretary of the Council;(2)The term of office of the members other than the ex-officio, member shall be three years.
