Section 17(1) in The M.P. Shops and Establishments Rules, 1959
(1)No person shall be appointed to be an Inspector under the Act unless he is able to speak, read and write Hindi and is either a graduate of a recognised University or a matriculate with atleast seven years' experience of service under Government or a local authority :Provided that this qualification shall not be necessary in the case of persons who may be employed as Inspector of Establishment under the Government or with the local bodies in the State on the first of July, 1958.
