Section 10(3) in The Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act, 1961
(3)During any vacancy in [the Council] [These words were substituted for the words 'the Board or the Faculty' by Maharashtra 23 of 1982, Section 12(c).], the continuing members may act as if no vacancy had occurred:Provided that, the number of vacancies shall at any time not exceed six in number.
