Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to issue Community Certificate to the petitioner's granddaughter namely S.Dhivyabharthi describing her as "Hindu Malai Kuravan" based on the representation dated 11.07.2016 within a reasonable period that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Prathapkumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. It appears that the petitioner, who claims to belong "Hindu Malai Kuravan" community, had submitted a representation to the first respondents on 22.7.2016 seeking issuance of community certificate for her granddaughter viz., S.Divyabharthi to enable her to join the B.Sc. Nursing and Diploma Course and since there was no response from the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. It is for the first respondent-authorities to consider the case of the petitioner regarding issuance of community certificate. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in respect of issuance of community certificate, within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
