Section 16(2) in Tamil Nadu Estates (Abolition and Conversion Into Ryotwari) Act, 1948
(2)If in respect of any such land, the ryot was liable immediately before the notified date to make any payment to the landholder otherwise than by way of rent, whether periodically or not, the ryot shall continue to make such payments as accrued on or after that date to the Government.
