https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/4 W.P.No.15122 of 2023 This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Sri Kombuthooki Mariyamman at Kattupalayam, Chindagoundampalayam Post, Anthiyur Via, Erode District on 14.05.2023 between 6 PM to 11 PM based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2023.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme in the event of Sri Kombuthooki Mariyamman at Kattupalayam, Chindagoundampalayam Post, Anthiyur Via, Erode District on 14.05.2023 at 6 P.M to 11 P.M, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 17.04.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 2/4 W.P.No.15122 of 2023 for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.04.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is Allowed. No costs.
