6. Notification in case of use of water for irrigation works.
- Whenever it appears expedient to the Government that the water of any river, stream or lake flowing in a natural course, or the still water of any other natural reservoir should be used by the Government for the purposes of any existing or projected irrigation work, the Government may declare that such water shall be so used after a day specified in the notification not being fixed within a period of three months from the date thereof.
