84. Restriction of power of certain officers to stop proceeding.
- If any Excise Officer considers that he ought to stop further proceedings against any person concerned, or supposed to be concerned in an offence, he shall forthwith send a report to the Excise Commissioner stating all the facts relating to the, initiation of proceedings and his reason for thinking that further proceedings should be stopped, such proceedings shall be stopped only when the Excise Commissioner authorizes him to do in writing.
