7. University open to all classes, castes and creed.
- The University shall be open to all persons of either sex, and of whatever race, creed, caste, or class, nor shall any consideration whatsoever be paid to such distinctions in respect of any privilege, award, appointment or promotion, conferred by the University, except as may be specially provided by the Statutes, or, in respect of any benefaction accepted by the University, where such distinction is made a condition thereof by any testamentary or other instrument creating such benefaction :Provided that nothing in this Section shall be deemed to prevent religious instruction being given in the manner prescribed by the Ordinances to those not unwilling to receive it by persons approved for that purpose by the Syndicate.
