Mr. Pranay Choubey, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr. Piyush Tiwari, learned counsel for the respondents.
Both these review petitions have been filed seeking extension of time for conclusion of arbitration proceedings and passing of the award by the Arbitration Tribunal.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to Covid-19 Pandemic, arbitration could not be completed within a stipulated period as mandate under the Act. It is therefore, prayed that further period of 12 months be granted to complete the arbitration proceedings.
In view of aforesaid and since both the parties have made same prayer, the review petition is allowed. Further period of 12 months is granted for conclusion of arbitration proceedings, which is pending before Justice V.S. Aggarwal (Retd.), Presiding Arbitrator, Shri Pankaj Sharma and Shri Subhash Tagra, Arbitrators in the matter of M/s. International Public School Ltd. & Ors. Vs. M/s. FIITJEE Ltd. & Others.
With the aforesaid, both the review petition stands disposed of.
