Section 29(2)(g) in The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998

(g)recommend to the State Government or otherwise of the qualifications as prescribed by the University Grants Commission and the various Central Councils for different categories of teachers and non-vocational academic staff, and for a particular post in these categories, whether in the University or in any affiliated college or a recognized institution, and prescribe additional qualifications, if any;
