Section 10 in The Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People Act, 1957
10. Definitions.
- In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires, -(a)"constituency" means an Assembly Constituency;(b)"qualifying date" in relation to the preparation or revision of every electoral roll under this part, means [the first day of January, the first day of April, the first day of July and the first day of October] [Substituted by Act XXIV of 1975 dated 19-8-1975.] (as may be applicable) of the year in which it is so prepared or revised.
