Writ petition (civil) praying inter alia that in the circumstances
stated in the affidavit filed along with the WP(C) the High Court be
pleased to issue Writs, Orders or Directions directing the respondents to
forthwith implement the recommendations made by the petitioner through
Exhibit P2 and P3 to protect the Vadakkumnatha Kshetra Maidanam in its all
aristocracy pending disposal of the above Writ Petition.
This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and
the affidavit filed in support of WP(C) and this Court's order dated
14-12-2022 and upon hearing the arguments of SRI.K.P.SUNIL, Advocate for
the petitioner and of SRI.K.P.SUDHEER, STANDING COUNSEL for respondent 1 &
2, GOVERNMENT PLEADER for respndents 3 to 5, the court passed the

Today, when these writ petitions are taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel for Cochin Devaswom Board would point out the pendency of DBP No.9 of 2023, based on the report of the learned Ombudsman in Petition No.15 of 2022 filed by the Cochin Devaswom Board, for consideration of Vadakkumnatha Kshethra Maithanam.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P.(C) No.26499 of 2018 would point out certain programmes conducted at Vadakkumnatha Kshetra Maithanam on 31.12.2022. The learned counsel seeks time to place on record additional documents along with an application to accept additional documents.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for Cochin 2 W.P.(C) Nos.4617 of 2022 and 26499 of 2018 Devaswom Board seeks time to get instructions.
