Section 87(3) in The Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976
(3)The Commissioner may from time to time during the year -(a)reduce the amount of a budget-grant, or(b)sanction the transfer of any amount within a budget-grant :Provided that every reduction if it exceeds five hundred rupees shall be reported forthwith by the Commissioner to the Corporation and the Commissioner shall give effect to any order that may be passed by the Corporation in relation thereto.
