Section 2(1)(d) in West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1972

(d)"commission agent" means a person who buys and sells agricultural produce for any person, keeps it in his custody and controls it during the process of its sale or puchase, and collects payment therefor from the buyer and pays it to the seller, and receives by way of remuneration a commission or percentage upon the amount involved in each transaction;
