Section 12(3) in Sikkim Agricultural Land Ceiling and Reforms Act, 1977
(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing provisions, if the State Government is of opinion that as a result of imposition of ceiling limit on the lands held by a monastery or other religious institution and vesting of the excess lands as a result thereof it has become difficult for such monastery or religious institution to carryon proper management and administration, the State Government. may in accordance with such rules as may be prescribed, .pay to such monastery or religious institution, such annual sum not exceeding the average of the amounts received by such monastery or religious institution from such excess lands during the preceding three years immediately before the date of vesting.
