(4)The Government shall suitably and adequately compensate a police officer suffering from injury or disability as a result of violence in the course of performance of his official duties or attack due to animosity arose from the due performance of his duty:Provided that such compensation shall be in addition to the medical expenses for which he is entitled under the rules.
