Section 10(4) in The Gujarat Ayurved University Act, 1965
(4)(a)During the leave or absence of the Vice-Chancellor, or(b)in the event of a permanent vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, until an appointment is made under sub-section (1), to that office,one of the officers of the University nominated by the Chancellor for that purpose shall carry on the current duties of the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
