Section 3(1) in The Land Ports Authority of India Rules, 2011
(1)The Chairperson of the Land Ports Authority of India shall be of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India and shall be chosen from amongst persons who have special knowledge and experience in the field of security, transport, industry, commerce, law, finance or public administration.
