Section 27(2) in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003
(2)The Corporation may at any time require the Mayor -(a)to produce any record, correspondence, plan or document which is in his possession or under his control as Mayor or which is recorded or filed in his office or in the office or with the employee of the Corporation;(b)to furnish any return, plan, estimate, statement, accounts, or statistics concerning or connected with the Corporation :Provided that the Mayor shall not be bound to comply with any such requisition if he makes a statement that such compliance would, in his opinion, be prejudicial to the public interest or to the interest of the Corporation.
