Section 2(1) in The Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers-Farmers (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2006
(1)"agriculture" includes-(a)horticulture;(b)sericulture;(c)the raising of crops, grass or garden produce;(d)the use by an agriculturist of land held by him or part thereof for grazing;(e)the use of any land for the purpose of raising manure crops;(f)dairy fanning;(g)poultry farming;(h)livestock breeding;(i)growing of trees;and 'agricultural' shall be construed accordingly;
