Section 21(vi) in The Kalyani University Act, 1981
(vi)to recommend to the Court, after consulting the respective [Faculty Council for post-graduate studies,] [Words substituted for the words 'Faculty Councils for post-graduate and undergraduate studies' by W.B. Act 17 of 1999.] the institution of fellowships, traveling fellowships, scholarships, studentships, stipends, bursaries, exhibitions, medals and prizes, the expenses of which shall be met from the University Fund, and to award the same after institution thereof by the University;
