Section 297 in The Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
297. Cleansing and lime-washing of any building may be required. - If it shall appear to the Commissioner necessary for sanitary reasons so to do, he may, by written notice, require the owner or occupier of any building so inspected to cause the same or some portion thereof to be lime-washed or otherwise cleansed, either externally or internally, or both extremely and internally.
