Section 10(1)(a) in The U.P. Essential Commodities (Display of Prices and Stocks and Control of Supply and Distribution) Order, 1977

(a)require the owner, occupier or any other person incharge of any premises vehicle or vessel in which he has reason to believe that any contravention of this order has been, is being, or is about to be committed to produce any books, accounts or other records showing transaction relating to such contravention;
