17. The Dean of Faculty.
(1)There shall be a Dean of each Faculty who shall be appointed by the Vice-chancellor for a period of three years in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes.(2)The Dean shall convene meeting of the Faculty, as and when required, in consultation with the Vice-chancellor and shall preside over the same. He shall formulate the policies and development programme of the faculty and present the same to the appropriate authorities for their consideration.
