(a)Subject to the provisions of Chapter VII of the Prisons Act, 1894, the Inspector General may, when necessary in consultation with the Department of Industries, from time to time specify, generally in respect of all jails or specially in respect of any particular jail or class of jails, the descriptions of works to be carried on, and the labour-tasks to be fixed, in respect of each class of labour specified in the preceding rule.
