Section 8(1) in The Goa, Daman and Diu Prevention of Begging Act, 1972
(1)The Court, which makes an order for the detention of any person in a Certified Institution under section 5 or section 6, may make an order on the parent or other person liable to maintain him, to contribute to his maintenance, if able to do so, in the prescribed manner.
