Section 19(ii) in The Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Act, 2002
(ii)after sub- section (8), the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:-" Explanation.- For the purposes of this section, in case of an area, whether within a sanctuary or not, where the rights have been extinguished and the land has become vested in the State Government under any Act or otherwise, such area may be notified by it, by a notification, as a National Park and the proceedings under sections 19 to 26 (both inclusive) and the provisions of sub- sections (3) and (4) of this section shall not apply.".
