Section 8(10)(ii) in The Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence (Field) Class III Service Rules, 1983

(ii)A Corporal Instructor will not be entitled to wear stripe before completing three years of service. On completion of three years service, he will be authorised to wear one stripe, on completion of six years two stripes and on confirmation three stripes.
