Section 2(k) in The Assam Education (Provincialisation of Services of Teachers and Re-Organisation of Educational Institutions) Act, 2017
(k)"Governing Body" means the Governing Body of a College or a [Senior Secondary School] [Substituted 'Junior College' by Assam Act No. 19 of 2018, dated 9.5.2018.] approved by the appropriate authority as notified by the State Government, for carrying out the management of the College or the [Senior Secondary School] [Substituted 'Junior College' by Assam Act No. 19 of 2018, dated 9.5.2018.], as the case may be;
