1. Short title, extent and commencement.
- [(1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Protection of Trees Act, 1976.] [Substituted by U.P. Act 28 of 1998, Section 3 (w.e.f. 1.12.1998).](2)It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.(3)It shall come into force at once.
