Section 17(6) in The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, 1972
(6)to permit and encourage a registered school to carry out useful educational experiments and research in secondary education [and higher secondary education] [These words inserted by Gujarat 14 of 2002, dated 6th April, 2002.] and to prescribe the conditions subject to which such experiments and research shall be carried out.
