Section 6(1) in The Assam Subordinate Engineering (Irrigation Department) Service Rules, 1978
(1)Direct recruitment in the service shall be in the cadre of Subordinate Engineer Grade I, Draftsman Grade II, Draftsman Grade II and Divisional Mechanic and it shall be subject to the provisions of sub-rule (2) of Rule 11.
