Section 149(1) in Jammu and Kashmir Forest (Protection) Force Rules, 2012
(1)A member of the Force while acting on duty at any place may use force necessary to prevent the commission of any offence under the Act in order to protect the forest property and in self-defence as defined under sections 96 to 106 of the RPC.
