In the quarterly statements, columns headed "Brought to trial" or "Preferred" unlike those headed "Under trial" or "Total dealt with" are intended to show only cases brought to trial, or appeals or applications filed during the period to which the return relates, and are not intended to include cases pending at the commencement of such period.
