Section 55(4) in Gujarat University (Amendment) Act, 1972
(4)All Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations and Rules of the Gujarat University in force immediately before the coming into force of this Act shall, in so far as they are not inconsistent with the principal Act as amended by this Act or the Statutes in Schedule II thereof, continue to remain in fame until superseded or modified under the principal Act.
