Section 6A(1) in The Maharashtra Purchase Tax On Sugarcane Act, 1962
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or the rules made and notifications issued thereunder, the assessment of tax and payment of tax in respect of the transitional accounting year shall be made in such manner as may be prescribed.Explanation. - For the purpose of this sub-section, the period beginning on the 1st day of April 2010 and ending on the 30th day of September 2011 shall be deemed to be the "transitional accounting year" for levy and collection of tax.
