Section 55(1) in Tamil Nadu National Law School Act, 2012
(1)The General Council, may, on the recommendation of the Executive Council, withdraw any distinction or degree conferred on or granted to any person by a resolution passed by the majority of the total membership of the General Council and by a majority of not less than two thirds of the members of the General Council present and voting at the meeting, if such person has been convicted by a court of law for an offence, which in the opinion of the General Council involves moral turpitude or if he has been guilty of gross misconduct.
