Section 23(1) in Tamil Nadu Fisheries University Act, 2012
(1)The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely:-Class I - Ex-Officio Members.(a)The Vice-Chancellor;(b)The Secretary to Government, in-charge of Fisheries;(c)Director of Fisheries;(d)The Dean of each College;(e)The Dean (Academic);(f)The Director Research;(g)The Director of Extension Education;(h)The Controller of Examinations; and(i)The Registrar.Class -II - Other Members.(a)[ Four members from amongst the Heads of Departments or Professors to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, on rotational basis; [Items (a) to (f) substituted by Act No. 5 of 2014, dated 26.2.2014, w.e.f. 27.2.2014.](b)One person having special knowledge or practical experience in different aspects of Fisheries to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; and(c)One Dean from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research recognised Fisheries College.]
