Section 1 in Bihar Entertainments Tax Act, 1948

1. Short title, extent and commencement.

(1)This Act may be called the Bihar Entertainments Tax Act, 1948.
(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Jharkhand.
(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [The Act came into force on the 1.10.1948, vide Notification no. 2587-F.R., dated 1.10.1948.] as the [State] [Substituted by para 4(1) of the A.L.O. for 'Provincial'.] Government may, by notification, direct.
